Phone Options That Fit Any Team
Switchboard Cloud™ lets every agent work from the device they’re most comfortable with—office desk phone, laptop headset, or smartphone. Users can also have multiple extensions linked to one account and switch their active extension anytime.
Key Device Types Supported
IP Phones (VoIP Desk Phones)
IP phones connect over the internet and support core features like hold, transfer, voicemail, and more—directly from the device. We recommend Yealink SIP phones and can confirm compatibility before purchase.
Mobile Phones
Route calls to your cell phone by selecting it as your active extension. Use the Switchboard Cloud™ web interface to manage calls (transfer, hold) and place outbound calls that connect to your mobile.
Web Phone (WebRTC)
Use Switchboard Cloud™ directly from your computer with a headset. Open Tools → Open Web RTC Phone, keep the tab open, and confirm it shows Registered to make and receive calls.
Softphone Apps
Use third-party softphone apps on desktop or mobile to call over the internet without hardware. Recommended: MicroSIP (Windows), Linphone (Android/iPhone), and Zoiper Premium (Android/iPhone) for more reliable iPhone behavior.
